“It is my pleasure to write a recommendation for Chris Hyde. I have known Chris since Dec. 2020 when I became his neighbor. Chris made a point of introducing himself right away, and our acquaintance developed in the spring as we both worked outside in our gardens. Chris has the most extensive garden area in our Townhouse Complex, clearly demonstrating his love for and care of plants. His garden is a mixture of annuals and perennials consisting of bulbs, plants, and shrubs. He has carefully selected plants that flower at different times of the year creating a colorful garden with blooms from spring to fall. He has included walkways, borders, and decorative objects in the organization of his garden landscapes. In addition to his two garden areas, he also maintains a vegetable plot at Battis Farm to organically grow his own produce.
As I worked to create a new garden area at the end of my unit, Chris was immensely helpful in his recommendations for what plants would do well in both my sunny and shady areas. He suggested gladiolas which bloomed beautifully and shared some lilac roots that grew well in their new homes. He helped me transplant bleeding hearts and day lilies from the woods to both of my spaces. Chris has also taken it upon himself to beautify our townhouse grounds. He planted day lilies by our sign and placed decorative rock borders around the shrubs out front. This fall he spent hours cleaning up an overgrown area by the parking lot. This involved cutting and removing dead tree branches, pulling up a prolific tangle of vines, and raking out the area. I highly recommend Chris for your landscaping needs. He possesses the skills and work ethic necessary to complete your yard and garden projects.”
