Eiger, Mönch & Jungfrau, the Egg, the Monk and the Young Wife are three prominent Swiss Alps.
Black and white post cards of them singly or, as a group, are common from the early 20th century.
This example, however, is a spectacular, dramatic and comic commentary on the development of a rail line threaded up through the sides (arms) of the Egg and Monk and directly above the Young Wife’s heart: The train at its destination!
